1 package Josef’s Bratwurst (any will do; German Bratwurst is recommended)
1 (12-ounce) bottle beer (a bock is great, but experiment with any lighter German beer)
1 medium white onion, minced
1 medium white onion, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
¼ head green cabbage, sliced
1–2 pinches caraway seed
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon butter
Directions
Brown the minced onion in butter over medium-high heat.
Add flour to the onions and slowly stir in the beer. Reduce heat slightly and add the bratwurst; cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
In a separate pan, sauté the sliced onions, cabbage, and peppers. Stir in 1–2 pinches of caraway seeds.
Place each bratwurst in a bun and smother with onions, cabbage, and peppers.
