Josef’s Ham Salad
One of the best things about leftover ham – it gives you a perfect reason to make this amazingly versatile (not to mention yummy) recipe!
1 lb. (2 packages) Josef’s Black Forest Ham
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup celery, diced
black pepper to taste
Optional Add Ins:
3 tbsp sweet relish
2 tsp mustard or dijon
1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
1 green onion, finely sliced
2 tbsp dill pickle juice
Put ham in a food processor and pulse until you get the desired texture. The ideal texture is fine, but not paste.
Place the processed ham in a bow and add remaining ingredients until creamy and smooth.
Mix in some diced hardboiled eggs for a tasty spread for bread or crackers
Make a “dip” by adding more pickle juice and blending until creamy
Our Ham Salad recipe can be used in a multitude of ways try adding it to macaroni for a “Ham Mac Salad,” put in in your grilled cheese sandwich for a zesty change up, or – of course – there’s always the classic ham salad sandwich. Whatever your choice, it’s bound to be a winner. Enjoy!
