Do you have a Retail Store?

Unfortunately, Josef’s Artisan Meats does not have a retail store, but most of our products are available at your nearest Wegmans food market!

Do your products contain any additives?

No. We use only real ingredients, with names you can pronounce. You won’t find any additives, fillers, or MSG in any of our products.

Are your products mass produced?

No. We believe in making everything handmade, in small batches. This process ensures that each of our customers receives a product of the highest quality. With that said, we do utilize some of the best available technology in our production process, such as a natural hardwood smoker, a portion control system and a vacuum packer. Blending a traditional process with several key pieces of technology allows us to offer customers an old world taste with modern precision.

How long do your products keep in the refrigerator or freezer?

For your convenience, all of our products come with a use by date on their label. This date applies only if the product has not been opened. If products have been opened, they are good for approximately five days in the refrigerator. Unopened products can last as long as six months in the freezer. However, please keep in mind that we have several products that we don’t recommend freezing. Steer clear of freezing hams, cold cuts, or Canadian bacon. Freezing the aforementioned meats can seriously impair their quality and texture.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We make every effort to get your order to you as quickly as possible. You can get more information regarding our ordering and shipping policies here.

How will my order arrive?

To ensure your order remains in optimal condition during transit, all temperature-sensitive products are shipped using frozen gel packs and insulated shipping boxes.  Our products are shipped fresh, so if items arrive partially defrosted, don’t worry – you can refreeze them upon arrival or can keep them for up to 14 days if stored unopened in the refrigerator.

My order took longer than expected to arrive, is it still safe to eat?

All of our products are carefully packaged and can endure approximately 72 hours without refrigeration. If you receive your order after this point, and aren’t 100 percent confident it’s safe to consume, contact us immediately at 1-800-373-6476.

Holiday delivery & cut off dates

When it comes to Holidays orders, we always say the earlier the better. With that said, each holiday has different restrictions. Please check our holiday schedule here for any upcoming holiday deadlines.

How do I make a return?

Can I cancel or modify my order once it’s been submitted?

Yes. Your order can be cancelled or modified until the time of shipping. Simply call us at 1-800-373-6476 if you’d like to adjust your order.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes, we do offer wholesale pricing for foodservice and wholesalers. For more information, please contact us here.

Are your products gluten free?

Yes. All of our products, with the single exception of the Scottish Bangers, are gluten free. Our Scottish Bangers are made with bread crumbs and are therefore NOT gluten free.
